June Recap || Pssst … There’s Kittens!

Posted July 5, 2019 by Sammie in #amreading, monthly recap / 13 Comments

June was … honestly, I’m not even sure what happened to it. Is one of you hiding it under your carpet? Give it back, please. I wasn’t quite done with that.

July is a busy month for us, since all family comes to visit and we have an anniversary (10 years this year!) and hubby’s birthday and I’m already exhausted. But we’re here to talk about June! So what’s happened this past month?

✦ The stray cat my mother-in-law took in, which she concluded was male, gave birth to six beautiful little rat-looking fur balls. I’m gonna go out on a limb and suggest that she wasn’t male. But yay kittens!

✦ I discovered Oversimplified on YouTube and wow, my productivity died, but now I am a fount of useless information. So … win?

The Writerly Way officially has over 200 followers! I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone. To celebrate, I held a giveaway, which was won by the wonderful @cjmitra.

  1. Kittens!! They are so sweet😁 I have a very busy July too and a whole ton of books to read. Looks like June was a good month for you! I’m pretty impressed that you read 10 books😊

    • I always feel like I should read more books. xD But 10 per month is my goal, and I’m always happy when I can reach that lol. Especially since I read some longer books this month. :3

      Why is July such a busy month for everyone? Am I missing something? xD We should hold a meeting and stop scheduling stuff for July. 😛

    • My mother-in-law’s superpower is attracting stray cats. This is the SECOND preggo cat she’s taken in. The first she knew was pregnant, at least, and we took her at our house because she was hanging around the factory she worked at and she was afraid they’d “get rid of her”. Then we took a kitten that showed up at her house. And now this white and gray beast has been hanging around, and she started caring for it, thinking it was male so there was no rush and we could wait for slower months to fix it. Oops. We were joking that even her male cats wind up pregnant. 😉

  2. Woohoo congrats on 200. But look, you can’t say you have kitties in your title and then only share one picture…
    (btw must have been a shocker to see kitties come out to your mom if she thought it was a he haha).

    • Ha, well, I couldn’t get more pictures because this happened literally AS I was writing this post. xD So the photo was added at the end of the day! lol. I suspect that July’s recap will have more pictures, though. 😉

      We actually figured out, like, two weeks before she gave birth. We thought she had worms at first, since she was getting the puffy belly and was supposed to be male (and she was a stray), so we got dewormer. And my MIL had her on her stomach petting her and was like … ummm … something’s moving. And kicking me. Guyssssss. xD So we had a little warning before she actually went into labor (and in those last two weeks, it became pretty obvious that she was indeed preggo haha).

    • Thank you! Some days, it’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years already, and others, I’m amazed it hasn’t been 20. xD Right?! I feel like September and November are going to be really busy release months, too. It’s crazy. Hope you enjoy, though! And you’re not too swamped haha.
