It’s time again to ask ourselves the three W’s:
What would you do if the murder you were investigating only had one witness?
What if that witness were a ghost?
Would you still try to solve the crime?
Wait, no, that’s not right. We ask these three W’s:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
Which books will you read next?

Case Closed Volume 17 – 20 by Gosho Aoyama

I’m finally hitting the part of the manga where I don’t remember everything that happened from the anime. There are still some cases that I remember, and I’ll be looking forward to getting to new content, but I don’t remember these parts nearly as much so there’s starting to be some surprises again. I’m excited to get to completely new material, but it’s been so long since I watched the anime last that I’m still enjoying these characters and revisiting some of these cases.

Sci-fi just isn’t a genre you’ll find me reading a whole lot, and I think someone more into sci-fi would enjoy this more. I had trouble keeping up with the world and the characters, and I kept finding myself confused and needing to re-read passages. Still, I had fun with this one! The protagonist, Lei, is an absolute badass, and she’s good at it. I enjoyed the action and the mystery and especially all the different sorts of races that exist in this world.

Gradually, I’m getting used to this whole audiobook thing. The narrator fthis was absolutely perfect, and I not once considered actually reading the book, because I felt like I would’ve lost something. That’s such a rare thing! Monty was absolutely and utterly intolerable … which means I obviously loved him. His little will they/won’t they with Percy is too cute for words, and ugh, I just wanted to slap him over the head repeatedly. Let’s be honest, though: Felicity is really the star of this book. I’ve already put a hold on the audiobook for the second in the series, and I absolutely can’t wait to start it!
The Highland Falcon Thief by M.G. Leonard and Sam Sedgman

This book is absolutely perfect for anyone who’s a fan of trains! I think that’s the only thing I had against this series, actually. There were a lot of details about trains, which I couldn’t care less about. I thought some of it was interesting and fun to read, but trains just aren’t my thing. I absolutely loved the mystery! The characters are charming, and the story moved along at a good pace. I had fun with it!

I’m going to admit that I solved this case almost immediately, unfortunately. Still, I had a lot of fun watching the kids solve this case. The squad in this is even more fun than the first one. Uncle Nat is absolutely charming, and I might have a teensy crush on him. My favorite part of this is that Uncle Nat gets a chance to be part of the mystery! The kids take charge and lead the way, but it’s so refreshing to see trusted adults that kids can go to for help.
I’m still plugging away at Midnight Riot at a slower pace than I expected, but at least it’s going. I’m at 17% right now and enjoying it so far. It’s funny and makes me laugh. I’m super curious about what’s going to happen next, since the mystery has finally kicked off.
I’m still at the same place in Aurora Rising, because I haven’t had a chance to pick it up again. I will again this week. I’m thinking I might just rewind the audio and re-listen, because the last chapter confused me a bit.
I was going to start a new read, but I didn’t feel like picking up a new one so late yesterday.
This entire week will be blog tour reads. I’ve got some exciting ones coming up!
My next read, later today, will be Peter Lee’s Notes From the Field. Peter Lee wants to be a paleontologist, just like I used to be! So that’s exciting. He’s also got asthma, which is yet another thing we have in common. I’m interested to meet Peter Lee.
After that, I’ve got The Thirteenth Fairy coming up, and yes for bookish characters! I’m really curious to see how these twisted fairy tales go and what sort of Filomena finds herself in.
I haven’t read Jeff Wheeler before, but I’ve heard his books are really good, so I’m eager to pick up Knight’s Ransom.
So many tempting titles! Thanks for sharing, and enjoy. Here’s MY WWW POST

I think even one witness for a murder investigation is pretty good! A lot of times there aren’t any. (I watch way too much Discovery ID hahaha).
