Frightening Good Reads 2019 Wrap-Up || I Actually … Did Well?

I’m not altogether sure what sort of sorcery this is, but I approve this message.

For anyone who’s read this blog before, you may know that I have a wee bit of a problem actually sticking to TBRs. It’s hard, when you spend all day around books that are screaming PICK ME and you only have a limited amount of reading time each day. Also might have something to do with me being a fickle mood reader, but heeeey, let’s blame all the good books instead.

For anyone who needs a refresher, Frightening Good Reads was hosted by Molly @ Silver Button Books. I posted my possibility pile for this read-a-thon here, and I knew I over-shot the number of books so that I’d have more to choose from.

So did I read all the books? No, of course not. I didn’t expect to. Did I read more than I thought I would? Heck yeah. Look at me, being a semi-functioning adult and sticking to plans!

Tell me all about your spooky reads, lovely. What awards would you give for the books you read this month? Did you read as many spooky books as you expected?

  1. You did great😁 I read more spooky books than I thought, even though I didn’t participate. My favorite was The Twisted Ones!

    • Oh, I’ve been wanting to read that! Local library doesn’t have it, so I’ll have to wait until I pick it up myself, but I’m glad you enjoyed it.

  2. you did so well!! ugh I really need to read a lush and seething hell. I just love how that title enraptures you truly. congrats on a great october!! and here’s to a wonderful november.

  3. Wowow, this is amazing! You did SO WELL! 8/12 is definitely way better than I would’ve ever done. I legit cannot stick to 99.9% of any TBR pile or possibility pile that I pick out 🤣 Great job!

    • Right? I’m so impressed with myself. I think it’s a record. Normally I’m like you and like … here’s my TBR! 30 seconds later … let’s read these three books. Sorry, what TBR?
