300 Follower Giveaway || Because You’re Worth It

Posted January 26, 2020 by Sammie in giveaway / 46 Comments

The Writerly Way has officially reached 300 followers, and I just don’t know how that happened, but I love you all.

I mean, I ramble. I occasionally throw books. Mostly I hoard them and build a fort, which I guard religiously from intruders while shunning the outside world. And still you come and listen to me go on and on. Really, I think the lesson here is there’s probably something wrong with you. But that’s okay. Y’all are perfect just the way you are.

I’m actually a little over 300 followers, but because my brand here is obviously Fashionably Late, yes, this giveaway is. But better late than never, right?

One of my goals this year is to buy less books for myself and run more giveaways. Because I clearly have more than enough books (shhh, don’t tell anyone I said that. I’ll deny it later) and want to start giving back more.

    • Thank you so much. That means so much to me. <3 Especially since I'm such an awkward little anxious bird who sometimes forgets how to people.

Congratulations on 300+ followers! I’m really looking forward to The Hand on the Wall, and also the novelization of Fences by Sarah Rees Brennan (I think that one is very very late in 2020, so the wait is going to be reeaaaally long!)

    • Oh my gosh, yes to the Hand on the Wall! I had somehow never heard of the series until now everyone’s talking about the third book? I’m looking forward to reading the series this year. :3 And I hear you with long waits. D: A lot of books I’m really looking forward to are at the second half of this year, too.

Some 2020 books I can’t wait for are, the henne wars, cemetery Boys, heartstopper 3, the midnight Lie, queen of coin and whispers, bonds of brass, felix ever after and many more 😅

    • Thank you! Oooh, so many good choices! I was actually lucky enough to get an ARC of Cemetery Boys, and I just cannot wait! There’s just too dang many good books coming out this year. xD

  3. John Smith

“Comment below on this blog post with your favorite read of 2019 or a 2020 upcoming release you’re most looking forward to.” I was thrilled to discover the exciting books by Jonathan Stroud in 2019, and I am looking forward to the next book in the “Hell Divers” series by Nicholas Sansbury Smith!

    • Oooh, yes to Stroud! I really need to read the Bartimaeus Sequence this year, hopefully. I’d never heard of the Hell Divers series, but oh myyyyy, that blurb for the first one sounds fantastic.

  4. YOUUU have more than enough books? Nuh-uh. I don’t believe it!!! 😂 Congrats on 300 followers, Sammie! I don’t know why you’re surprised because YOU’RE AWESOME!!!! Seriously, I always look forward to reading your posts and reviews. They’re always informative and super entertaining! 🥳😍🥳 Thanks for giving us book lovers a chance to win more books haha

    • What? Who said that? Pffft, no such thing as enough books.

Thank you so muuuuuch. I’m always surprised, because I’m a rambling bundle of anxiety dressed in a humanish figure, and who wants to listen to that? xD

  5. Congratulations! I think two of my favorite reads from last year are Fireborne and The Fountains of Silence. This year, I can’t wait to get my hands on “House of Earth and Blood” and “The Silvered Serpents!” 🙃

    • Oooh, my library hold for Fireborne just came through, so I’m excited to hear that! I can’t wait to read The Silvered Serpents, too! I was sad to see it had been pushed back, but ah well. Some things are just worth waiting for. 😉

  6. Congrats on 300 followers! I’ve already read one of my two most anticipated 2020 books, Come Tumbling Down by Seanan McGuire. The second comes out in May: Network Effect by Martha Wells. (More Murderbot! Yay!)

Congrats and thank you so much for the amazing giveaway 🙂 My fave book of 2019 was The Name of the Wind – I adored it 🙂

    • Thank you! I really want to read that series, but I’m desperately trying to wait until the third book is finished so that I don’t have to wait with everyone else. xD

  8. Allen (wishiwasabook)

Congratulations on 300! Where the Crawdads Sing was my top favorite read last year. It was really breathtaking.

    • Thank you! I’m really looking forward to getting my hands on these, but I decided to wait for the hold list at my library to whittle down a little. xD I think I should be able to get it soon, and I’m excited, because I’ve heard such wonderful things about it.

  9. Congratulations on reaching 300+ followers, Sammie, that’s brilliant. Your blog is fantastic and I always love reading your posts.
