“But Sammie,” I hear you say, “it’s halfway through April. Why are you just now wrapping up March?”
And to that I say … maybe I wasn’t done with March. Did you ever think of that, huh? Maybe I liked it soooo much that I decided to just stay there for a bit longer.
… nah, truth is I’ve just been busy. Swamped, really. Without the benefit of a cranky ogre and funny donkey, so that’s a bummer.
I actually don’t feel like anything much has happened this month?
Here’s what happened this month:
- This semester is winding down! The end is in sight! FINALLY! I may be just a teensy bit burnt out. You could maybe tell by now, with how absent I’ve been in general. I am so freaking excited to say that there are only four-ish weeks left of school! This time next month, I’ll be freeeee for two months. I’m desperately needing that break at this point, so I’m super excited for it.
- I went to the mall for the first time in slightly over a year! We actually took a day off to go, so it was the middle of the day in the middle of the week and the mall was empty, which is really the best time to visit. But oh my gosh, the normalcy of it! *sobs* Also, I got a hot pretzel and it was delicious and it made my heart happy. I’m just looking forward to being able to do certain things again once in a while. Not all the time. But sometimes.
… I feel like there should be more news here. Like … a whole month passed, right? I didn’t hallucinate that? I honestly have no idea what I did last month, but it certainly wasn’t anything particularly exciting! So on to the books!

Twitter Fun
Not following me on Twitter? Maybe you should. The highlight of my entire month so far has been the middle-aged white man at Walmart today, with a ponytail and in sweatpants, absolutely rocking out to Bailamos. And y'all, this guy had *moves*.

Never let it be said that nothing good ever happens at Walmart. 😂
You know you've read too much #scifi and #fantasy when you no longer feel comfortable having pen points facing you when they're on the desk. I know what a pen can do to a human body, okay? I read things! All it takes is a teensy telekinesis and BAM. No sir, not today.#bookworms

Great wrap up! Also love the layout of your blog and all the cute dragons!
Thank you!
Congrats on almost finishing up the school year! March was a weird month for me and April is flying by, what the heck! I’m never going to finish all my April books😭😭😭

Thank you! I feel like I only just started my April books, and then I looked and realized it was the 15th, and I’m like … how?! What gives?! xD
Thank you so much for mentioning my post Sammie! 🥰 I’m very impressed that you had the motivation to sit down and write this recap halfway through the month — because my motivation to write my own March wrap up has just gone *poof* and is nowhere to be found 😂
Congrats on almost finishing school!! 🎉 I still have two months to go and I’m counting down the days at this point 😅 And omg your cat is adorable!! 😍
I hope the rest of April treats you well! 💞
I don’t know if motivation had any part in the process. I think it was more that I guilted myself into it. xD
Thank you! Two months will pass before you know it. You can do it! I’m trying not to consider the fact that I have a whole other two semesters left right now and just celebrate the small win that is summer vacation lol.
Yay, cat pics!!! 😀 I feel like most months have gone by without much to talk about except the books. I haven’t had a mall pretzel in ages (but Pandemic Baking means I’ve learned how to make my own, so I guess that evens out).

Gotta slide one of those in every now and then, right? Just think, next recap, you’ll get KITTEN pictures, so that’s something to look forward to. 😉
I really *should* learn how to make homemade pretzels, but they never quite taste as good for some reason.
March was just some kind of black hole. I can’t remember much from it either haha.
But yeay for soon vacation breaks!

Are we sure March even happened? Are we being lied to? Is this a conspiracy?!
This made me laugh out loud, so thanks for that! March was honestly a blur or nothing for me, despite reading a bunch? It was super weird lol.

You’re welcome! Glad I could make you laugh. I feel like the general consensus is that March never happened. We just collectively skipped to April for some reason. xD
Thanks for the blog post recommendations, I’m going to check them all out.
